Iggy Pop, Paco Rabanne's New Poster Boy

File this under well, at least it's better than endorsing car insurance. According to Women's Wear Daily, Iggy Pop is the new face for Paco Rabanne's latest men's and women's fragrances--called Black XS L'Excès--out in January in France. Music vid director Jonas Akerlund (famous for Lady Gaga's "Telephone" and Madonna's "Ray of Light" videos, among others) shot the commercial, which will appear on TV and in movie theaters.
Iggy Pop has been a punk rock icon for about 40 years, so it's interesting to note that this isn't the oddest endorsement he's made. About two years ago, Iggy Pop was selling Swiftcover car insurance on British TV.
