If you know anything about hip-hop or jazz you know that Thursday's Roy Ayers show at Exchange L.A. is not to be missed. Beyond a rare hometown performance from the prophet of jazz-funk Ayers--one of the most sampled artists in hip-hop, playing a special set with pioneering producer Pete Rock and a full band--you also get cosmic jazz from bass master Thundercat, a world class DJ set from beat junkie J. Rocc, and mind-blowing psychedelic visuals from Brainfeeder's a/v wizard Strangeloop. Lounge DJs include Anthony Valadez, Clifton Weaver, Destroyer, Lee Joseph and Marlon Fuentes, and KCRW's Garth Trinidad hosts.
All you have to do to win tickets is leave us a message on Heard Mentality's Twitter (@ocweeklymusic) and/or Facebook ! Don't forget to leave us your contact info as well.
