The group brings critically acclaimed music to the House of Blues Anaheim tomorrow night ahead of next month's awards ceremony in Las Vegas on November 10th. Even if "Latinoamérica" somehow, some way doesn't take home top honors, it has already solidified its status as a hemispheric super anthem that boasts the talents of Peruvian Minister of Culture Susana Baca, Afro-Colombian diva Totó la Momposina and Brazilian Maria Rita singing collaboratively on the chorus! Being a Calle 13 song, the lyrical bent is political, especially the affirmative "Soy/ I am" lines of the first verse, including the soccer-inspired, "Soy Maradona contra Inglaterra anotándole dos goles! / I am Maradona scoring two goals against England!"
Afterward, the women recite all the elements and emotions of the Americas that can not be sold in their wonderfully sonorous and rebellious voices inspiring a cry of ¡Que viva Latinoamérica!
