Before Zack de la Rocha rocked the masses at Coachella earlier this month with his group One Day as a Lion, he joined Los Tigres del Norte for a special collaboration. The ultra-popular Norteño band from Mexico performed their catalog of classics with numerous special guests at the Hollywood Palladium for a taping of an MTV unplugged special.

It wasn't the first time the musicians have linked up. Los Tigres del Norte, well known for their pro-immigrant corridos, joined the de la Rocha led Arizona Sound Strike effort. It was only fitting then that when the Rage Against the Machine frontman came on stage to perform alongside the band, they belted out "Somos Más Americanos" together but not before teasing the audience with a few notes from "Killing in the Name" on the upright bass and accordion.

From there on, de la Rocha did a fine job helping on the vocals singing the song's 'we didn't cross the border, the border crossed us' inspired lyrics to a rousing crowd! The forthcoming "MTV Unplugged: Los Tigres del Norte and Friends" DVD and album is scheduled for a May 24th release.
