Call for Entries: the West Coast Rockabilly Showdown at the OC Market Place

Your band could share a bill with the Dropkick Murphys at Hootenanny 2011 this year

​Calling all unsigned rockabilly bands: The 2nd Annual West Coast Rockabilly Showdown is looking for contestants. The showdown, which features four competition rounds to be held Saturdays, May 14, 28, June 4 and 11 (with finals on Saturday, June 18), will be held at the 3rd Annual Spring Concert Series at the Orange County Market Place, the weekend swap meet at the O.C. Fair and Event Center, Costa Mesa.
What do winners get? The top four bands will be vying for the first place cash award of $1,000 and will perform July 2 at the Hootenanny 2011. The second place finisher wins $750, third place wins $500 and third place $250.
