Orange Bits is back! In this weekly roundup of all OC-related music news, band members are donating a guitar, antidrug voice-overs and what goes on in the life of a punk-rock parent.
- We already talked about this (after all, our writer Gabriel San Roman was one of the project's prime movers) but we always like to see what OC Register is saying about our work ... members of PHILM, side project of Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo and War bassist Pancho Tomaselli, donated a Swarovski-encrusted guitar to help raise money for the arts program for the Anaheim City School District. The guitar is currently on eBay with a "Buy It Now" price of $10,000. What a steal! [OCR]
- Shaggy-haired indie singer/songwriters Pete Yorn and Ben Kweller performed at the Wiltern in Los Angeles and will make a pit stop at the House of Blues Anaheim this weekend. [OCR]
