ORIGINAL POST, APRIL 4, 2:30 P.M.: And Record Store Day 2011 (that's Saturday, April 16) just keeps getting cooler: Foo Fighters will be performing an in-store show at Fingerprints in Long Beach!
"I'm proud to be a part of Record Store Day. I grew up discovering music that changed my life in record stores like Fingerprints and will always do everything I can to keep that experience alive for generations to come," says head Foo Dave Grohl.
Meanwhile, Fingerprints owner Rand Foster is stoked, too: "Record Store Day has quickly become both an annual celebration of the indie record store culture and a day to revel in the glory of unique physical goods. We are extremely proud to host a special Foo Fighters' in-store for this year's event; their 2011 covers album is a classic example of a great RSD exclusive. We are excited to be part of this year's RSD event, and happy to help keep the spirit of the record store going all year round."
