Not much information is available at the moment, but it is being reported that legendary Long Beach-born and -raised musician Nate Dogg, born Nathaniel Dwayne Hale, has passed away.

While the rumors first circulated on Twitter, the Long Beach Press-Telegram is reporting Nate Dogg has indeed passed away from an unknown cause of death.

Nate Dogg had previously suffered a stroke on Dec. 19, 2007. In January 2008, MTV reported the stroke had paralyzed the left side of his body. In September 2008, the musician suffered a second stroke.

Known for his rich, soulful baritone voice, Nate Dogg was famously part of the same musical circle as other well-known Long Beach rappers including Snoop Dogg, Warren G, Daz Dillinger and more. Nate Dogg debuted his talents to the world with Dr. Dre's The Chronic.
