Gwyneth Paltrow About to Sign a Record Deal?

Page Six is reporting that Gwyneth Paltrow is "close to signing a deal with Atlantic Records." So that's what that embarrassment at the Oscars was all about! Page Six further states that the music is in the genre we like to call "country pop."
Following Paltrow's role in Country Strong, she was last seen warbling happily on the TV show Glee; at the Country Music Awards; at the Grammys, for which she performed "Forget You" with Cee Lo Green; and at the Oscars, where she performed the nominated song "Coming Home." On the red carpet, she told reporters she was in talks with labels and "we'll see." Watch out for that Jay-Z collab, y'all.
