Fueled By Ramen Sign Sublime With Rome

​Slightly puzzled by the news that emo/pop label Fueled By Ramen has signed stoner faves Sublime With Rome? Drummer Bud Gaugh, bassist Eric Wilson and singer/guitarist Rome don't exactly fit the eyeliner and Justin Bieber hair aesthetic that many Fueled By Ramen labelmates have. But maybe we're just thinking of Sublime's old stuff, which helped to define the reggae/ska/punk movement.


Sublime With Rome are apparently recording their debut in Texas as we speak, and Rome said in a statement: "Everything has been going amazing in the studio. The music has been coming along great, and we're confident we're making a record that will stand the test of time. We can't wait for the fans to hear it and are already planning a world tour to bring it to them live."

If you want to watch the band as they work, they'll be streaming from the studio on Monday, March 21 at 6 p.m. via their Facebook page.
