Exene Recasts the Oscars, Josh Freese Named Dream Presenter

​Orange resident and music scenester Exene Cervenka (of X, Knitters, Original Sinners) had a cameo in LA Times' awards blog The Envelope yesterday, and in it, she talked about what she'd do if she ran the Oscars.

In the interview, we discover her love of Bill Murray. She also talked about wanting to add a Best Animal in Lead or Supporting Roles and Strangest Performance awards. (Hear that, Crispin Glover?)

Most surprising of all is her list of dream presenters, Oscar host and musical performers. We already mentioned drummer-of-all-trades Josh Freese, but find out the population of Exene's Oscars after the jump.
