This year, OC/LB bands have come together to provide us with a smokin' holiday soundtrack called the White Elephant Mix. Dustin Kensrue, vocalist/guitarist of Irvine's post-hardcore heroes Thrice, switches gears for a straightforwardly jangly take on "Blue Christmas." Longtime Thrice fans may have heard this track on Kensrue's 2008 solo Christmas album This Good Night Is Still Everywhere that he wrote, recorded and produced with Teppei Teranishi.
The Christmas album, originally solely available as a digital download, has just been released on limited-edition vinyl, so anyone who missed it the first time around can now enjoy. Kensrue shares his favorite Christmas memory and gift with us below.
