Q: Why is there a photo of Gwen Stefani performing with No Doubt up there?
A:
Because four high school students who are part of the LA Philharmonic's Composer Fellowship Program will compose a four-movement piece inspired by songs by No Doubt.

Q: Will the piece be performed?
A:
Yes, the YOLA EXPO Center Youth Orchestra will give a free concert at Santee High School on Feb. 26.

Q: Will No Doubt be there?
A:
No.

Q: So why is there a No Doubt photo up there again?
A:
Because the four composers--Daniel Allas, Tamzin Elliott, Phillip Golub and Aaron Ishibashi--each chose a No Doubt song as the musical inspiration for each of the four movements of the final piece.

Q: What songs did they choose?
A:
"Suspension without Suspense," "Rock Steady" and "Simple Kind of Life."

Q: Does No Doubt know about this?
A:
Yes. Gwen Stefani, Tom Dumont, Tony Kanal and Adrian Young will attend a YOLA EXPO Center Youth Orchestra rehearsal to meet the composer fellows, observe rehearsal, listen to the new work inspired by their music, and participate in a Q&A session with the YOLA musicians and composer fellows.
