Damon Albarn isn't even finished touring with his other supergroup, Gorillaz (read our review of the LA show here) before he's confirming that he's almost done recording his album with the Red Hot Chili Peppers' bassist Flea.Talk about keeping busy!

Albarn says the album is a project with Afrobeat drummer Tony Allen (who's also in Albarn's the Good, the Bad and the Queen). As Albarn told Spinner, their band doesn't have a name yet, but "Flea of course is an anagram for Fela [Kuti] and Flea is so into this music -- so that's been great."

I guess it's not enough that Albarn gets to tour with two members of the Clash, with random appearances by Lou Reed at Gorillaz shows; he has to take Flea as well.
