In my oppinion he dontated hope to thousands of people. As for Jack Johnson his music makes everyone including myself happy no matter how much apathy is in the world,providing everyone the strength to keep moving foward.

• Jack johnson has a great heart and the only person that comes close to comparing to him is possibly Oprah Winfrey. They both mean well and are roll models to kids of all ages.

• Someone correct me if I am wrong but aren't the "gifts" that Oprah gives on her shows actually subsidized by the actual companies that make these gifts? From what I understand she hasn't paid for any of these. The companies just get free advertising out of it. I could be wrong.

• I'd probably have to say Oprah. Her extravagant gifts makes me want to be part of her live audience

• Look into Shakira she does a hell of a lot more philanthropy work then some of these other yahoos. Kudos to Jack and Shakira 2 of my favorite do good artists!!

• i see this rap star(Wakaflaka)on facebook writing "ten stacks for the best 8 bar verse", now i dont know how much ten stacks is, but it sounds like he's down for his fans. i think Radiohead gave the most though, they let you download there album for how ever much you wanted to give them, thats pretty dope.

• Bob Hope. He gave back to his fans , The troops away at war and their families for most if not all his career. I think even Jack Johnson would agree on this.

• John Lennon, even after his death his message continues to touch people across the world.

• While they might not be donating on the same level as Jack Johnson (I think you'd be hard pressed to find anyone that does), the Playing For Change Foundation, an off-shoot of the Playing For Change music project, is raising money to build music schools for children around the world.
