Belle and Sebastian Want to Write About YOU

​Last Saturday, we (and by we, we mean Spencer Kornhaber, that quisling) witnessed Belle and Sebastian in action, nonchalantly chucking autographed green footballs into the audience and generally being charming. 

Now we hear from the Matablog that Belle and Sebastian are releasing a 7″ next year "of a song that was WRITTEN ABOUT YOU!!!!!!"

Well, when Matablog says you, they really mean whoever wins the contest Belle and Sebastian are holding. Find out how it works after the jump.

Apparently, each copy of Belle and Sebastian's new album Write About Love has a code that you can enter on the Matador site. 

All you have to do is "Write 300 words about LOVE. Why you love. Who you love. What you love. Where you love.  Anything about love.  Just Write About Love."

Belle and Sebastian will then choose a winner, and frontman Stuart Murdoch will fly to wherever that winner lives and hang out with the winner for an afternoon and write about that quisling in a song, which will then be released on an exclusive Belle and Sebastian 7″ in 2011.
