Last July, the oceanfront condo in downtown Huntington Beach where the Avenged Sevenfold drummer was found dead was put up for sale.

Jimmy Sullivan found dead of an accidental overdose in the condo last December. The 28-year-old, also called "The Rev," had a music studio in the condo. His father, Joe Sullivan, told the OC Register that buying a condo on the beach meant a lot to the drummer, who grew up in Huntington Beach. Joe Sullivan said, "He loved Huntington."

Avenged Sevenfold's latest album, Nightmare, went straight to No. 1 on Billboard's Top 200 in the week it was released.

The 968-square foot property was a 2 bedroom-2 bath condo at the Huntington Pacific, located right on the beach. Sullivan had unobstructed ocean views and had a guard-gated entry.  It sold for $500,000, although it started out priced at $599,000 in May. The price was later cut to $549,000.

Under California law, a seller must notify a buyer if a death occurred in the home within the past 3 years.
