Andrew McMahon's
Dear Jack Foundation just announced their first annual benefit--and it's a pretty powerhouse cast.
The show will feature BOTH
Jack's Mannequin and
Something Corporate playing on the same night--the first time McMahon, the frontman for both bands, will be doing double duty on stage. Special guests Marc Roberge from OAR and singer-songwriter Matt Nathanson are also in the lineup.
It will be held on Nov. 18 at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles.
The benefit will feature a raffle for fans and an online auction featuring signed memorabilia by the band and friends.
McMahon put up the Dear Jack Foundation after he beat acute lymphatic leukemia in 2005. graphic. Set up in 2006, the foundation seeks raise awareness and support organizations and charities that impact young adult cancer patients. The benefit's proceeds will also go to
Pediatric Cancer Research Fund and the
Children's Hospital Los Angeles.
