[UPDATED:] Rage Against the Machine, Conor Oberst, Perform Benefit at Hollywood Palladium To Combat SB 1070 On July 23

On July 23, Rage Against the Machine will be performing in LA for the first time in 10 years to support organizations combating SB 1070, Arizona's immigration law. The Sound Strike, Zack de la Rocha's organization advocating artists to boycott Arizona, is hosting the benefit. It will be held at the Hollywood Palladium.

The show is projected to raise more than $300,000, and will provide resources for various community organizations,  legal defense funds and activism in Arizona. Two organizations pinpointed for immediate assistance include community outreach group Puente, Arizona, and pro bono legal service organization The Florence Project.

The concert is part of a week of national actions culminating on July 29, the day the law is set to be enacted. There's a week of national action events leading up to it; information can be found on www.altoarizona.com. An on-sale date for tickets has not been announced yet.
