What's up with Young the Giant, you ask? The band formerly known as the Jakes are performing at the Detroit Bar three Wednesdays this August. That would be August 4, 11 and 18, with The New Limb, Melanoid, The Steelwells and more.

Young the Giant is currently working on an album producded by Joe Chiccarelli (The Strokes, The Shins, The Whites Stripes) and mixed by Michael Brauer (Coldplay, John Mayer, My Morning Jacket). If you can't watch them locally, the band is also doing residencies at the Troubadour in Los Angeles and Casbah in San Diego.
