Slayer Now Has Pinball App for iPhones

​Here's a more passive way to celebrate Slayer than having a slay-in: Play the Slayer pinball game. The highlight of Slayer: Pinball Rocks is a skull that eats your ball and spits it out through its eye socket. Yummy. I don't know why classic metal bands feel like they have to prove they're viable in the age of the iPhone, but add this to the Kiss Virtual Concert Lighter app, or Tap Tap Revenge:  Metallica.

The app is $2.99 from the App Store. How it works is you play along to songs from their latest album, World Painted Blood, with original voiceovers from the band. It works on both the iPad and iPod Touch as well. Watch how it works here.

Apparently there's a "rich legacy of iconic metal and rock bands making pinball tables," according to the press release. Upon further investigation, we found a whole slew of pinball games inspired by heavy metal bands. Who knew? It must be a Hessian thing to do.
