Lilith Fair Is Back, But...

Can you smell the estrogen in the air? For the first time in a decade, festival founder Sarah McLachlan is bringing the celebration of women in music back to Orange County. But as it turns out, the lineup is severely lacking. Unfortunately for OC fans, many of the biggest names like Sheryl Crow, Rihanna,  Carly Simon, Colbie Caillat, Go-Go's and Mary J. Blige, are not slated to perform in Irvine.  The all-day festival is scheduled for July 10 at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater. The diverse lineup includes: Emmylou Harris, Brandi Carlile, Miranda Lambert, Jenni Rivera, Ximena Sariñana, Susan Justice, the Weepies and Marina and the Diamonds. We're hoping they add more acts for the local date because, rather than Cat Power or Norah Jones, we have the "Ourstage Winning Artist." Whatever the hell that is.
