April Fools! Well, kinda.

Actually the documentary of this seminal arts and culture festival--curated by Matt Groening and Modest Mouse at Long Beach's the Queen Mary in 2003 and 2004--is coming to the Art Theatre Long Beach for three special shows. Sorry to burst your bubble. However, this film is actually pretty damn good.

The behind-the-scenes and stage-view look at the festival, typically held in England, includes 35 performances by revered acts like Sonic Youth, Iggy and the Stooges, Grizzly Bear, Saul Williams and many more.

Presented by Fingerprints Records and non-profit cinema corporation Mondo Celluloid, Art Theater is showing All Tomorrow's Parties (Warped Films) tomorrow at midnight and on Saturday, April 3, at 11 a.m. and midnight. So yeah, we may have punked you with a cheap April Fool's Day post, but at least it ends on a good note. Oh, and here's the movie trailer for the documentary in case you haven't seen it yet.

All Tomorrow's Parties showing at the Art Theatre Long Beach on Fri. April 2, 12 a.m., Sat. April 3, 11 a.m., 12 a.m., 2025 E. Fourth Street, Long Beach, $10. All ages.
