If we counted up the number of local appearances made by rap legends like Wu-Tang, Snoop Dogg and Biz Markie over the past year, it might sound like Orange County is on it's way to becoming a hip-hop mecca. Who knows if that will ever be the case, but we can't ignore the growing trend. This Saturday, N.W.A founding member Arabian Prince (born Mik Lezan) is making a return trip behind the Orange Curtain to spin for a sardine-cramped crowd at the Continental Room in Fullerton. Seriously? Wasn't freakin' Talib Kweli at Commonwealth Lounge, like, two weeks ago? What is going on here? Anyway, better not question it. Just make sure to get there early and dress lightly. It's gonna get hot in there.
Note the appearance of a "special guest" on the flier. We'll gladly field speculation in the comments about who you think it could be. You're probably wrong, but it's always fun to guess, isn't it?
