They're punk. Yet fun. And witty. I've been a fan of NOFX for years thanks to the Berkley-formed band's catchy songs that smartly and humorously comment on the human existence without getting preachy -- or maudlin, for that matter.
A couple weeks ago NOFX issued the awesomely eclectic EP Cokie the Clown. From the fast and furious title-track about a blow-addicted buffoon to the poignant, acoustic closer about losing one's parents ("My Orphan Year"), it's another reminder why NOFX remains one of the most consistently satisfying punk acts on the circuit.
