Christmas Flick Soundtracks: 'You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch' from 'How the Grinch Stole Christmas!'

I'm pretty certain Theodore "Dr. Seuss" Geisel's poetry is every bit as important as that banker T.S. Eliot's, oven-lover Sylvia Plath's or anyone in the latest edition of the New Yorker. Check out the wonderfully inventive, smile-inducing lines to this Dr. Suess gem:

You're the king of sinful sots / Your heart's a dead tomato splotched with moldy purple spots / Mr. Grinch / You're a three decker sauerkraut and toadstool sandwich with arsenic sauce!

Love it! Now, if only I can see this holiday classic again--soon. It's December 23. When is someone going to air the classic 1966 TV special How the Grinch Stole Christmas!? Did I miss it? Are networks only playing the ugly Jim Carrey remake I refuse to watch? Damn, can Netflix get it to me by Friday?

After the jump: more How the Grinch Stole Christmas!
