The Union Line Sign to RCA/Black Seal
Another local band has signed to a major label: San Juan Capistrano's the Union Line have signed with Black Seal, an imprint of RCA Records--part of Sony Music Entertainment.
Black Seal is a fairly new arm of RCA, currently featuring just three, fairly diverse, acts on their roster: Oakland's Audrye Sessions, Wisconsin's Cory Chisel and the Wandering Sons, and Strokes guitarist/solo artist/Gibraltarian rock royalty Albert Hammond, Jr--certainly not the worst company a band could ask for.
The Union Line have no shows on their slate currently, but most recently played locally late last month; read a review of that show here. This news follows late August's announcement of Irvine's the Jakes singing with Roadrunner Records, a division of Warner. Read our June feature on the Union Line here.
