New Thrice Album 'Beggars' in (Physical) Stores Today

Thrice-Beggars.jpg

Beggars, the sixth studio album from Irvine's Thrice is out in stores today. Well, "real" stores. Like, ones with doors that you can walk into. ("Physical retailers," "brick and mortar," whatever you want to call them.)

The album was supposed to come out in October, but got leaked online in July, released on digital retailers iTunes in response to the leak in August, and is now coming out as physical CD in September. Whew. That's a lot of months.

Even if you've already purchased Beggars, you might want to give today's release a look. It includes five bonus tracks; two b-sides, two remixes (including one by Santa Ana's Free the Robots), and a cover of "Helter Skelter," sort of Thrice's own version of The Beatles: Rock Band. Plus, there's the added satisfaction of being able to put it on a shelf and stare at it when you're lonely. (Don't discount that!)

Thrice are playing Orange County soon, two shows at the House of Blues in Anaheim on November 24 and 25. Those are the two days before Thanksgiving, so insert your own jokes about seeing family/pilgrims/turkey/football/tryptophan here.
