Rob Zombie Coming to the Grove of Anaheim; Nekromantix Hallowen Show at Fox Scrapped

Rob Zombie, who built his career on songs like "Living Dead Girl" and directed the last two Halloween movies, is playing the Grove of Anaheim on the day after Halloween (November 1, for the non-calendar inclined). That's a pretty big coup, akin to getting the Pogues to play on St. Patrick's Day. Well, the day after St. Patrick's Day, at least.

It's all part of Mr. Zombie's Hellbilly Deluxe 2 tour, named after his forthcoming album, slated for release on November 10. That itself is, of course, the "companion" to his 1998 debut solo album Hellbilly Deluxe, which gave the world "Living Dead Girl," "Dragula," "Superbeast" and "Meet the Creeper." If Jay-Z can release sequels to his records, why can't Rob Zombie?

Tickets go on sale this Saturday, September 26, at noon, for $39.50. The Nekromantix, whose current roster includes Anaheim-based drummer Lux, are serving as openers throughout the tour, which means that their previously scheduled Halloween show at the Fox Theater in Pomona has been canceled--they'll be opening up for Zombie at the Hollywood Palladium that night. Full refunds already available at the point-of-purchase.
