Flier of the Week: Guitar Doctor Benefit at Fountain Valley

Sort of a weak field for fliers this week--probably because of the long weekend and all that. People's minds are on cookouts and celebrating the fruits of our labor, not on designing fliers. But this one has a nice, simple layout (as opposed to the crammed fliers with pictures of every act lifted from their MySpace that constitutes plenty of show advertisements these days). You've got your info, a guitar (makes sense, because it's a benefit for a guitar repair shop), a sassy pin-up gal and a pleasant gray background. Success!

The event, a benefit for Guitar Doctor in Fountain Valley, sounds like it could be a good one: $15 for blues guitarist/former Canned Heat member Walter Trout, along with a few other acts, including a local Social Distortion cover band called Social Disorder (fairly clever, as tribute band names go). Goes down tomorrow night at the Galaxy in Santa Ana.
