Gettin' Made: The Not So Endless Summer
Folks, there's no denying it. The end of summer is upon us.
Stop crying, we all knew it was gonna happen eventually--let's take a moment to savor the last few fleeting weeks with a look at some beachy Etsy selections that will help keep summer with you all year long.
Botanical Shell drawing by Tamara Garvey
I love the details in this seashell drawing, and how simple and classy it is.
After the jump, she sells seashells (and indie crafts) by the seashore.
Crocheted Wire Beach Glass necklace by Kristen Stein
This great necklace is unique on a couple of levels - number one, did you know you could crochet with wire? Secondly, while you absolutely can get "beach glass" from craft stores like Michael's and Joann Fabrics, the pieces in this necklace were actually for reals collected from Kelleys Island, a small island in Lake Erie.
Bahama Beach soap by Birch Soaps
Look, I don't wanna be the one to tell you that you smell... but wouldn't you rather smell like the Bahamas? Ask anyone, they would much rather you smell like a beach bum than a hobo bum.
"Treasures of the Deep" print by Hearts and Laserbeams
I've been known to dabble in the ocean themes myself, check out this fun print of a painting I did once of some robot mermaids finding untapped oil reserves!
"Aloha Fabulous Flamingos" ring by Dirt Road South
Rounding out our beachy fun is this great flamingo ring - all that's missin' is my two tickets to paradise--if you pack your bags we'll leave tonight!
