TONIGHT: Coldplay at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater

Well, that kind of sneaked up on us: Coldplay, doubtlessly one of the biggest bands in the world, is playing tonight at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine.

Nothing against the dudes, natch, it's just that they were here less than eight months ago at the Honda Center in Anaheim. Chris Victorio took that fetching picture of Chris Martin there, and I wrote this awesome review of it! It was definitely a good gig, though, and tonight's should be, too, even if it feels more right to see Coldplay when it's...cold. Those tunes like "Shiver" just seem sort of out of context outside in the summer, y'know? Either way, Coldplay puts on a surprisingly entertaining show live, so take advantage of the fact that there are still some tickets for this one left.
