Former Michael Jackson Guitarist to Appear at OC Music Camp

No, this isn't just a cheap ploy to increase page views by including the words "Michael Jackson" in the blog title. (Though if that happens, awesome!) This post actually has relevant local ties!

Former Michael Jackson guitarist Jennifer Batten, seen here with one of the greatest hairstyles of all time, will be appearing at select "Camp Jam" (like a real-life Camp Rock, but with less potential for merchandising) sessions this summer, including a "master class" July 22 at Harbor Day School in Corona Del Mar. Sound cool? Well, it's for kids ages 7 to 17, but it is pretty neat.

According to her official bio, Batten played with MJ on the "Bad," "Dangerous" and "HIStory" tours, as well, as joining the KoP for the Super Bowl XXVII halftime show, which was watched by something like 80 billion people. She later toured with Jeff Beck for three years, but at some time, sadly, she abandoned that haircut.
