Thrice prepare for the summer's Warped Tour (poorly).

Irvine's favorite sons (other than Will Ferrell, maybe, but post-Land of the Lost that's questionable at best) Thrice have announced that their sixth album, the follow-up to 2007 (and 2008's!) four-disc, dual release The Alchemy Index will be out in October of this year, and it's called Beggars. Why is it called that, you ask? Let's see what Dustin Kensrue has to say via press release!

"I think we are at most times deluded in thinking that we are totally responsible for our circumstances, but in the end almost everything is beyond our control to a high degree and we can't even be sure we will wake up tomorrow.  Whether you believe that God created you for a purpose, or that the world is governed by blind chance, everything in life is a gift at its core; we are beggars all."

He took the words right out of my keyboard!

If you're looking forward to checking out Thrice this summer on the Warped Tour, you won't have to wait too much longer--the thing gets kicked off next Friday (June 26) at the Pomona Fairplex. Thrice (and the Warped Tour) will return to this general area on Aug. 23 at the Home Depot Center in glamorous Carson, California.
