Official Press Release on eVocal's Closing
EVOCAL CLOSING DOORS BUT OPENING NEW OPPORTUNITIES
Local Art Gallery and Music Venue to Close Doors
but Continues Servicing Local Artists Community
Costa Mesa, CA -- June 26, 2009 - After three years of bringing art and culture back into the Costa Mesa community, eVocal will be closing its arts venue in order to focus on its artist brand clothing line and e-commerce website.
From its birth in 2005, eVocal has helped emerging artists and musicians build their identity and offered them an alternative to the mainstream art industry. Local musician Tyler Ellis shares,
"eVocal's purpose is simply to help anyone and everyone become 'someone'...become important to the (art) movement," said local musician, Tyler Ellis, bassist of [genre] band, Make Moon, currently on tour in the U.K.
The eVocal influence has also reached out to the young and aspiring art community. "eVocal donated their venue and helped our students put together their first professional showcase," said Eduardo Iniestra, Art and Music Director at Save Our Youth Center. "The experience meant a lot to the kids and showed them what's possible through art and dedication."
With the closing of the concert venue, the eVocal organization will be able to refocus its efforts on building a platform for local artists to build their brand and connect with the community.
Parker Macy, 2009 Recipient of the OC Music Award for Best Blues Player, recaps his experience with eVocal, "I was connected with an eVocal artist to develop my design and it came out perfect. Nothng compares to eVocal's ability to connect artists with artists to create an amazing product."
While one door closes, the staff at eVocal are building an infrastructure to empower emerging artists to enrich the culture and lives of the community. eVocal.com is currently being populated daily with artists profiles and products. eVocal also offers branding and design services and can be reached at info@eVocal.com.
