Sweden's Little Dragon hits Detroit Bar tonight, fresh from opening up for TV on the Radio for the last good little while. Though they reside in the faraway Scandinavian land, lead singer Yukimi Nagano's mother and grandmother both live in Costa Mesa. Wacky! $15.
They've got a really neat moody, spacey electro-pop thing going on--but don't take my word for it. Take Ned Raggett's, who wrote about the band in this week's OC Weekly. Can't make it tonight? No worries--they're playing the Glass House in Pomona on Monday. Memorial Day! What better way to, uh, memorialize.
