The Growlers Ready 'Couples Vol. 8,' Release Show

In terms of maintaining a prolific pace, Ryan Adams ain't got shit on Costa Mesa's the Growlers,
who last year released a 25-song record cheekily called Greatest Hits, and have subsequently released multiple volumes of their Couples series, each with two to seven songs on them.
The band explaining the concept: "Fom september 08 to april 09 we will be releasing a hand-made man-made couple each month consisting of two to three songs. We will be releasing these while we work on our next full length record. stay tuned for release dates and show info."
Couples Vol. 8 will be marked by a release show at Don the Beachcomber in Huntington Beach on next Saturday, May 23, where the Growlers will be joined by Audacity, Gantez Warrior, Zookeepers and Grand Elegance. Also, read this Wikipedia article about the actual Don the Beachcomber. Interesting!
