It's an eerily quiet
malicious-lie-masquerading-as-hilarious-joke April Fools' Day, but here's a show: Cat Party, part of our
Citizen Blast local music compilation from last fall, are playing
the Gypsy Lounge in Lake Forest tonight. They're going on at 11, with
The Guilty Hearts and
The Stabbings opening things up. Cat Party have a neat low-fi, quasi-grungy edge to them, something you don't see a lot with the many poppier bands around here--their influences include The Replacements and the Murder City Devils--so it should be a good night for those feeling up to odysseying to south county.
