On-Sale Saturday: Benefit Show with Social Distortion!

Orange County punk/rockabilly legends Social Distortion are playing their first show in the area in some time (not counting Mike Ness solo shows; there's been plenty of those) on May 18 at the House of Blues in Anaheim. It's the "Rock to Recovery" event, benefiting "Jay Thomas and his battle with spinal cord injury." Also on the bill: the Vandals, the Black Tibetans and Japanese Motors. $40, on sale tomorrow (April 18) at 10 a.m.

Speaking of Mike Ness, as we sort of were, he cameo'd last night at the Bruce Springsteen show at the LA Sports Arena, former OC Weekly music editor Rich Kane tells us, playing a cover with Bruce and the E Streets of Social D number "Bad Luck" and pairing on vocals with the Boss for "The Rising." That sounds awesome. I was not there. Sadface.
