Incoming: Wilco at Fox Theater in Pomona

Downtown Pomona's Fox Theater has not yet reopened for business, but they're already lining up gigs, including this rather high-profile one: perenniel music snob faves (with good reason!) Wilco, playing the 78-year-old former movie house on June 20.

I'm not sure if the date has been "officially" announced by the venue yet, but I found it while perusing the tour dates on Wilco's official site. Wilco's also playing two LA dates at the Wiltern, on June 22 and 23. Tickets are on sale this Saturday, April 18, at 10 a.m. 32 bones.

The Fox, which I was loitering outside just last night, is having a "first night sneak preview fundraiser" Saturday, featuring none other than Carol Channing herself (!) as the "special guest." Surely worth your $135 right there. Hello dolly, indeed.

The Wilco date coincides with when their new album is supposed to be out, so we'll see how that goes.
