ALSO TONIGHT: Brimstone Howl at Avalon Bar in Costa Mesa

DJ Oldboy usually brings a band with him to his regular Thursday night gigs at Avalon in Costa Mesa, but typically someone from the local scene. Tonight, it's Omaha blues-rockers Brimstone Howl, one of Oldboy's personal favorite bands. As he says, "Shit like this never happens to me, but I guess pushing yourself and diggin' through the trenches gets you somewhere." Apparently, they're going to be recording at The Distillery Studio in Costa Mesa soon, so it's sort of a "welcome to OC for a little bit" party for them.
