'American Idol' Update: No News is Good News

Our two Orange County "American Idol" hopefuls, Mishavonna Henson (left) and Kai Kalama, are still alive after last night's show--mainly, because neither were in this week's first group of 12 to perform live. So there you go. Probably a good thing, too; not too many folks last night impressed, with the judges being especially harsh on San Bernadino County's Stevie Wright (not to be confused with comedian Steven Wright), who sang Taylor Swift's "You Belong with Me" before getting savaged by all four judges. They criticized her choice of song, though she defended it, because she's young, and they told her to act young, and Taylor Swift is also young. Makes sense to me!
