Surprisingly Robust Monday Night Music Options

Monday isn't typically a great night for live music (or much of anything--just ask Garfield!), but there's several things on the docket today.

We've got a record release show from San Diego screamo-ers In Fear and Faith at Chain Reaction, seen rather nattily dressed above. On their MySpace you can listen to their rather unique cover of Coolio's "Gangsta Paradise," which is some good fun.

There's also the first night of the January Monday night residency at Detroit Bar, where the same bands play a free show each Monday night of the month. This time around it's two Orange County acts--solo artist Daniel Morones and Mothers' Sons. Morones was featured in our Locals Only column last summer, and, quite handily, Mothers' Sons will be in there this week.

It's also the first week of another monthly residency, from Long Beach's Rocco DeLuca up in Spaceland in Los Angeles. Choose wisely!
